As Mary Ward women, we aim to further Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) in a specific Mary Ward way – that is, in accordance with the charism of the Just Soul and its defining virtues of freedom, justice, sincerity and joy(felicity) which speak so powerfully to issues of JPIC and their integral nature in all aspects of mission and ministry.
The key words for this ministry are encouragement and effectiveness, which are both essential to the fostering and developing of our understanding of JPIC and not just as one among many ministries, but central and integral to all of them.
This ministry is an invitation to be more active and sensitive to JPIC issues at the international, intercultural, environmental and inter-religious levels.
Within the Mary Ward family, we include all members of the two current congregations, Friends of Mary Ward (FMW) in various parts of the world, lay ministry colleagues and all with whom we collaborate. Together we aim to further JPIC in a specific Mary Ward way.
The charism of the Just Soul speaks powerfully to issues of JPIC and their integral nature in all aspects of our mission and ministry.
