IBVM SOUTH ASIA DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

We are here already at the end of another year 2022… with another advent season… another Christmas round the corner. The year 2022 began with a bang for all of us with our Province Congregation in Entally… omicron virus spreading among us and the questions and concerns around “Becoming One”. The year has passed… the virus is under some sort of control… and we have voted unanimously for “Becoming One”. We may still have unanswered questions regarding the virus… the future of our planet… how “Becoming One” will change us… yet true to our vocation and the spirit of Mary Ward we have forged ahead in faith, hope and love.
That’s what matters… that’s what is important… and all of us have journeyed living this faith in
action during 2022… personally, as a province and as Institute.

As we begin another new liturgical calendar… another Advent/Christmas… another new year…we are grateful for all that has been, knowing that “our hope is in God alone who called the Institute into being, and it is God we trust to carry it forward and keep it true.” (7.1 Constitutions Vol II)

On behalf of the Province Leadership Team, I wish you all a soul-filled Christmas. During this special season of Advent let us take the time to “pause”, to allow God to reveal God’s self in the small insignificant and ordinary events of our day like God did at the first Christmas. May we in turn be
the presence of God in our communities, places of ministry and families as Love, Hope and Faith.
